The Assessment Process

A transparent overview of the individual steps.

Every assessment is tailored to the specific questions posed by the court. However, the general procedure typically follows standardized steps.

Instruction & File Review

The court instructs the expert and transfers the case file. The expert reviews the documents to prepare for the interviews.

Initial Notification & Appointments

You will receive a letter proposing initial appointment dates for the interviews.

Exploration (Interviews)

In one or more personal sessions, your perspective, background, and the current situation are discussed comprehensively.

Psychometric Testing (if applicable)

Depending on the case, standardized questionnaires or tests may be utilized to objectively assess certain aspects.

Interaction Observation (Family Law)

In family law cases, observations of interactions between parents and children usually take place.

Involvement of Third Parties

With your consent (release of confidentiality), relevant objective professionals (e.g. youth welfare office, schools, probation service, etc.) will be consulted.

Report Preparation & Submission

The gathered information is summarized in a written report, scientifically evaluated, and sent exclusively to the court.
